Notes  He moved to Bertie Co NC with Isaac, Moore and James.
From Record Book Bertie Deed Book G-5 Isaac Carter conveyed land that was next
to Moore Carter in 1747. Also in Deed Book F 132 Jacob Carter to Isaac Carter
July 24th 174- A Gift of 200 acres of land.
He was listed as head of household in Charleston Dist. St Bartholomew's Parish
SC in 1790 Census. He had a female slave and wife..only. THe Colleton Co SC
courthouse burned and all really records were lost.
Earliest Record found in SC is two land grants from King George III of Great
Britain. The first was granted on the 13th day of May 1768. This was a tract of
250 acres in Colleton Co SC bounded on all sides by vacant land. This survey
was dated April 6, 1768. A Second grant was dated July 26th 1777. For 200
acres. The survey of this land was dated Apr 30 1773. A deed dated 29th Aug
1809 in Barnwell Dist SC and signed Jacob Carter and his wife Sarah conveying
250 acres in Colleton,District to George Rizer was found but it not knownif this is the above Jacob Carter or his son Jacob Jr.
Record also has been found at Charleston SC of Deed for a gift dated April 7,
1787 from Jacob Carter to his son George for a tract of 50 acres on Little
Swamp on the East side of Little Saltechatchee which has been previously been
granted the elder Carter. Deed Book Y-5 page 35..Both Father and son were
residents of ST Bartholemew's Parish Colleton Co SC 190 Census show Jacob
Carter and wife to be living alone.

Ave Sanford Fl 32771 was contact... ties Jacob directly to Moore, then to
Thomas and Arabella then to Thomas and Catherine Dale. I have gotten material
from several sources...but the years of his birth etc. seem to fit this one
more.
